Hilary Baxter is a Practitioner/Researcher in Theatre Design with considerable experience of costume design for Theatre, Film and Television. Her costume research has been funded by the AHRC and the British Academy. Professional credits include: Theatre Design: ‘Dr Faustus’ (RSC, The Other Place 1997), The Mistress (World Premiere in Rome 1990 written & directed by Arnold Wesker) Costume Supervision for ‘Red Dwarf’ T.V. Series 8 (BBC2 /Grant Naylor Prods 1998). Her showgirl costume designs formed the ‘Prince and the Showgirl’ parade at the National Gallery (May 2009). Her practice-based research seeks to bring together costume design inspired narratives with performers, direction and public, most notably at The Banqueting House in Whitehall (Soane Banquet 2010).
