Dr Andrew Brooks is a Lecturer in Geography at King’s College London. His research focuses on issues of social and economic change in the Global South in the context of uneven international development. He teaches a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses including a Masters programme in Environment and Development and is the Undergraduate Tutor. His PhD research investigated the livelihoods of African workers through a case study of the used-clothing trade and he undertook 12 months of ethnographic fieldwork in Maputo, Mozambique. Andrew has previously worked for Voluntary Services Overseas on food security issues in Papua New Guinea.
